WHAT IS PRP?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a natural, regenerative treatment created entirely from your own blood, making it highly biocompatible and well tolerated. A small blood sample is taken and carefully processed using medical-grade centrifugation to concentrate the most valuable components — platelets rich in regenerative signals.

These platelets contain powerful bioactive growth factors that support collagen renewal, improved circulation, and long-term skin repair. When PRP is introduced into the skin (via microneedling or precise intradermal delivery), it works with your body — not against it — to stimulate the skin’s own repair and rejuvenation processes.

PRP improves skin quality from within, helping the skin become smoother, brighter, and more resilient over time. Results develop gradually and naturally, making PRP ideal for patients who want their skin to look healthier, stronger, and more youthful — without looking “done.”

Clinical studies have investigated PRP for it's role improving skin quality showing:

  • Brighter, healthier-looking skin (“glow”)

  • Smoother skin texture

  • Reduction in fine lines

  • Improved skin firmness over time

  • More even skin tone

  • Reduced appearance of enlarged pores

  • Softening of mild acne scarring

  • Improvement in post-inflammatory marks

  • Improved skin clarity and vitality

  • Overall improvement in skin quality and resilience

  • Hair re-growth and density

FAQs

Who is HydraFacial suitable for?

HydraFacial is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive, oily, dry, and combination skin. It can be customized to address a wide range of skin concerns, such as acne, fine lines, hyperpigmentation, and uneven texture.

How often should I get a HydraFacial?

For optimal results, it is recommended to have a HydraFacial once a month. However, your Dermal Clinician may adjust the frequency based on your skin’s needs and concerns.

Is there any downtime after HydraFacial?

There is no downtime after a HydraFacial treatment. You can resume your normal activities immediately and even apply makeup right away if desired.

What results can I expect from HydraFacial?

You can expect immediate results, including smoother, more hydrated, and glowing skin. Many clients notice a reduction in fine lines, improved skin texture, and minimized pore size after just one treatment. With consistent treatments you can expect to see further reductions in fine lines, scarring, acne and pigmentation.

Does HydraFacial hurt?

HydraFacial is a painless procedure. The treatment is often described as feeling like a gentle suction or light massage on the skin, making it a relaxing experience.

How long before a big event should I have a HydraFacial?

If your skin is generally healthy and you’ve had a HydraFacial before, you can have the treatment the day before your big event for an instant glow. However, if you have specific concerns such as acne, pigmentation, or need skin repair, it's best to start a series of HydraFacials 4-6 months in advance to achieve optimal results in time for your event.

Can HydraFacial help with acne?

Yes, HydraFacial can effectively treat acne and congested pores by deeply cleansing the skin and removing impurities. The extraction process helps to minimize breakouts, while the infusion of salicylic acid and other active ingredients targets acne-causing bacteria and inflammation. It’s an excellent option for those with acne-prone skin. Consider adding-on the Clarifying Booster and LED Light Therapy for even better results!

Can HydraFacial treat hyperpigmentation and dark spots?

HydraFacial can help reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, dark spots, and sun damage by exfoliating the skin and delivering brightening serums. Consistent treatments combined with the right skincare routine can improve overall skin tone and clarity.

Are there any side effects of HydraFacial?

HydraFacial is known for being gentle with minimal side effects. You may experience slight redness immediately after the treatment, which usually subsides within a few hours.

Can I combine HydraFacial with other treatments?

Yes, HydraFacial can be safely combined with other treatments, such as LED light therapy, dermaplaning, and peels, for enhanced results. Consult with your Dermal Clinician to design the best combination for your skin.

How long do the results of the HydraFacial last?

With proper skincare maintenance, the results of the HydraFacial can last for several weeks (as the skin cycle completes and sheds every 28-42 days). To maintain results, it is recommended to incorporate a medical skincare routine that includes exfoliators, antioxidant serums, daily sunscreen, and regular professional maintenance treatments. Lifestyle factors such as diet, smoking, alcohol consumption, sun exposure, hormonal changes, and skincare habits can affect how long the results last.

Is the HydraFacial painful?

No, the HydraFacial is very comfortable and well-tolerated with many clients  even falling asleep during the treatment. You may experience a mild tingling, during the application of actives, however this sensation subsides quickly.

Can I wear makeup after a HydraFacial

It is recommended to avoid wearing makeup for at least 24–48 hours after a HydraFacial to allow the skin to breathe and repair properly.

Can HydraFacial be done at home?

No, HydraFacial is a professional-grade treatment that requires specialized equipment and expertise. Home devices cannot replicate the patented technology or the level of results achieved during a clinic-performed HydraFacial.
